Independance Day Party on July the 4th at the clubrooms. 7pm start. $5 entry which includes some American food and games. Come dressed in Red, White or Blue and help us welcome Tyler and Dave. All welcome for a good night!

boathouse jackets order

The Boathouse Jackets order will be placed very soon - if you wish to order one of these, please email me back, or put your name down on the "Merchandise Order Form" which is up on the noticeboard at the club.

These are for sale by order only at a cost of $160 each.

I will be placing an order onceI have 6 people who have paid the $80 deposit - so get in quick if you want one.

We also have a variety of new merchandise in stock, including hoodies (red, white, navy, light grey, dark grey, and junior sizes in navy), tracksuit pants (both fleece and parachute), as well as a number of navy t-shirts in junior sizes.

We are also selling Redwings Helmets for $250 and Lacrosse Balls for $5.

Family Funday Sunday 21st June 10.30am

All senior and junior players and their family are invited to the club on Sunday 21st of June for some fun and games to be followed by a BBQ lunch.

The day will commence with a joint senior and junior training session followed by some fun and games for families followed by lunch and a parents v players soft Lacrosse game. The day is expected to conclude around 1.00pm.

Registrations and Fees

By now all players MUST be registered, if you have not yet filled out your forms please come and see me Tuesday or Thursday night at training this week.

Also a reminder that fees are due by the 30th of May (THIS SATURDAY), unless an arrangement has been made with Leona Grimes (Treasurer).

If fees are not paid the 'No Pay No Play' policy will be enforced.

Thanks to all the players/parents who got their forms and payments in early this year!

Junior welcome dinner

Come along and enjoy the great family atmosphere at the East Torrens Clubrooms. Meet the junior coaches, committee, other players and parents over a great meal for just $6.00 per person. There will also be a few games for the kids and prizes to be won. All friends and family are also welcome to join us.

Great start to the 2009 junior season

Saturday the 2/5 saw an impressive start to the junior season for the Redwings winning every junior boys grade and the under 11 girls. Our under 13 girls made a valiant attempt in their game with many first game players contributing well but were unlucks to come up against such a strong opposition with plenty of experience.

The season promises to hold many positive results ahead and I thoroughly reccomend any one with the time to get out there and watch the enthusiasm and joy these kids get from Lacrosse, especially when we are doing so well!

2009 U/8's!

Welcome to 2009 Under 8's!

Despite a few teething problems early on, we're off to a great start this year. Burnside were a little short on numbers, and teamed up with West Torrens to give us a game. Mitchell, Justin, Dylan and Joel joined together to make an excellent squad with their skills and team work. They all had a touch of the ball and the first goal was by Ellie from West Torrens, followed by one goal from Joel and two from Mitchell. Lewis from West Torrens rounded it out with the last goal. Even though Justin and Dylan missed out, they both made some excellent attempts and formed a great defensive line by stopping the ball reaching the oppositions end.

I would say, and anyone else there also, that they all played extremely well for their first game with a combination of team work, throwing and catching - and the goals speak for themselves!

Well done team and keep enjoying the games with more to come.
