Due to tighter insurance requirements this year, the sofcrosse competition has been postponed until further notice.

There may be a competition in feb/march, but I will let everyone know when the dates are confirmed.

The 2009 Redwings Sofcrosse Comp is now open to entries. A venue and exact dates are yet to be confirmed, but it is likely it will be played on Wednesday nights, with 5 rounds in November/December - it will then resume after the Christmas and New Year break in January/February.

We have space for 8 teams so get in quick. We have a number of players who have indicated they want to play, but dont have a team, so if you almost have a full team, let us know and we can get your team filled. Teams need a minimum of 5 players (4 on court with 1 goalie), so if you want more than 5 players you will have subs on the bench to rotate through. 6-7 players in a team is usually ideal.

We need final teams and numbers by Monday 19th October, so we have time to order in T-Shirts and get them printed. Teams need to submit their Team Name, Team Colors (tshirt colours can be chosen from here: http://gildan.com/ - navigate to Asia > Inprintables > Colour Swatch), names of the members in your team, and what size T-Shirts everyone needs. The TShirts will be the same brand from last year, so the sizing should be similar.

The cost will be similar to last year, however exact costs will be announced as soon as T-Shirt numbers are finalised.

I will be placing a Reversable Boathouse Training top order in the next couple of weeks. These will be in both mens and womens cuts. This will be your last chance to order one of these until the season starts next year, so get in now and you can wear it over summer and have it ready for pre-season training!

These training singlets are white on one side, and navy on the other. You can get your playing number printed on both the front and back, and you can have your surname or nickname (or just REDWINGS) printed on the back.

These are at a cost of $55 each. Get in now incase they become more expensive next year.

We also have 4 Boathouse Jackets available for sale. These are selling at $170 each and will sell quickly. The sizes available are: Medium (2), Large (1) and Extra-Large (1). There will not be an order on these until next year, so get one now so that you have one when winter hits next winter.

There comes a time every year that unfortunately lacrosse season ends and the baseball season starts. This means that we all need to congregate to celebrate this passing while drinking the bar DRY watching the footy on the projector and the traditional kick to kick at half time.

East Torrens Payneham Lacrosse Club are hosting this years grand final day in all grades (Juniors, Mens B-Grade, Mens Reserves, Womens B-Grade, Womens Reserves) except Mens and Womens League. We will need to all available helpers from 8.00am.

After beating Glenelg in the Mens League Semi-Final, ETP now take on Woodville in a home preliminary final this Saturday (Paterson Reserve, Payneham). If we win, we will go on to play Brighton in the grand final the following week at Finsbury. Support the club and get down to the game on Saturday - starting at 2.50pm.

As Peter and Leona will be busy preparing for the Junior Presentation Night on Friday, and the Finals on Saturday, there will be no meals at the club tonight.

The bar will be open however.

The East Torrens Payneham Lacrosse Club Mens League team have knocked Glenelg out of the finals in the semi-final at West Beach on Saturday. ETP led for the majority of the day by between 1-3 goals, and ended up winning 11-9 (photos coming soon).

ETP now take on Woodville in a home preliminary final this Saturday (Paterson Reserve, Payneham). If we win, we will go on to play Brighton in the grand final the following week at Finsbury.
