Just a reminder that all Golf Day money from ticket sales need to be paid to Trevor immediately (The day is just over a week away). Trevor is willing to drop off tickets and pickup ticket money to anyone who has sold tickets. We have to pay the golf course their fee so we need the money asap!

Please contact him if you want to buy a ticket or can sell tickets. This needs to happen this week.

Men's Club Triathlon

Congratulations to Chris Kirrton who posted the best overall time and won the "Tough nut award" for the men's preseason Triathlon held last night. Chris posted a total time of 51m 05s, which included the fastest time on the run leg 16m 55s and the best time on the swim leg 12m 40s. Also congratulations to Scott Vickery who finished first on the cycling leg with a time of 16m.

Other good over all times also posted included:

The event was a good test of the lads all round fitness and was a fun opportunity to mix training up. Over all every one posted a good effort with even Trevor managing a run )Even if he did post a run leg time of 33m, more than double Chris's time.

AGREAT EFFORT WAS MADE BY ALL THAT PARTICIPATED, I just need to shave 20s of my swim leg and 20s of my ride leg to steal the prize in those legs or at least slow down Christos and Gimpy!

boathouse training tops orders

I am now starting a 3rd order on the popular Redwings Reversible Boathouse training tops.

They are white on one side and navy on the other, and can feature your name/surname/nickname on the back, and your playing number front and back.

They are available in a mens and womens cut, and a number of sizes are available.

I need 10 people to commit to one of these to make the order happen. It takes about 6 weeks for the order to arrive, so get in quick so we can have these arrive for the start of the season.

High School Comp - Rostrevor results

In a great start to the 2010 High Schools Competition, both teams from Rostrevor College scored impressive wins

Team Red started the day with a win against a very strong St Michaels team, a team with established club lacrosse players players. First time player Jordan Wilson (willow) was outstanding in his first game for Team Red ably supported by Francis in the face off , Arrin in defence and Lyle off the wing.

Following on from Team red’s good win, Team Black started slowly but soon began to dominate as the game wore on. Kyle at Face off gave team black first use of the ball on most occasions and with Alfie making strong runs down the field along with Jacob, Team Black were given plenty of opportunities to score goals and ran out easy winners.
