Rostrevor High School Competition

Hi everyone

The High School Competition program will kick off on Tuesday 16 February with a clinic to be held at the Adelaide University Lacrosse Club from 4pm to 6pm. This will give new (and returning) players the opportunity to learn and develop their skills and game knowledge in preparation for the first game the following week. Games will be played over a 6 week program from 23 February to 30 March inclusive at school grounds. I am waiting for schools to submit their nominations before drawing up a program.

For those who are unable to coach or help for the full competition, if you are able to come on the 16th for the clinic to help instruct the players, it would be greatly appreciated. Please e-mail me to let me know if you and/or anyone else you know can help on this day.

The Rag features an interview with the new Mens League Coach, Lee Vickery, as well as a profile on 6 times Best & Fairest ETP Goalkeeper, Tom Vickery.

6 week season starting 12th February 2010 Finishing Friday 19th March 2010
Grading will be done on the first night which will cover

Beginners
Year 7
Under 15’s

School teams welcomed and all ETP juniors are requested to attend.
PLAYERS COST IS $5-00 per Game to be paid before starting
All lacrosse equipment for games supplied but own stick is preferable.
Players require own runners, dark coloured shorts and water bottle

Hello all

I am excited to announce the beginning of what promises to be an exciting season. I would like to commence the year with a FREE BBQ for all senior men's players to be held on Thursday 14th January, 6.30pm, at 12 Naretha St Holden Hill (The Lindners residence). This will be an opportunity to catch up and discuss the pending season as well as an opportunity for players to have their say on the formation of the preseason program. I expect that any one interested in playing league lacrosse in 2010 will be in attendance on this occassion and if you are not available please advise me asap.

Coaches for Season 2010

East Torrens is proud to announce the appointment of Lee Vickery as our Mens League Head Coach for Season 2010. Lee has led the girls team through 2 womens premierships and has taken them from B Grade to A Reserves and feels that he can now step up and succeed in taking over the reins for the League team in 2010. Training will start soon so please keep your eye out on the website for training details. We are still seeking an assistant coach for this team so if you are interested or know someone that is please contact me on mens@redwingslax.com or Lee onlee.vickery@redwingslax.com

We have also seen fit to re-appoint Trevor Poland as the A-reserves coach for season 2010. The A reserves team in 09 really struggled to field a full and competitive team and i'm sure that everyone would like to see this improve in 2010. If you would like to assist trevor please contact me on mens@redwingslax.com

We have not appointed a womens coach at this stage and are still seeking nominations for this position. Once again, if you think you can assist or are willing to coach please contact Rachel Hill on secretary@redwingslax.com

Monday December 7th, 7.30pm @ the ETPLC Clubrooms.

The Baseball Club will be opening up for us and will have the bar open. All club members are asked to attend.

The latest batch of mens and womens Rediwngs Boathouse Reversable Training Tops have arrived. If you ordered one of these, full payment is required prior to pickup.

You can make payment either in cash when you pick it up, or directly into the ETPLC bank account (email me for details).

Pickup is from 456c Payneham Road Glynde, during business hours.
