Lacrosse is a fast, fun, outdoor team sport that combines high levels of action and movement with fine stick skills to produce the spectacle we know as the “Hottest Sport on Two Feet”.
Lacrosse is an inclusive sport with various competitions, teams and positions to suit all levels of skill, athleticism, gender and ages from 5 to 40+. The roles and protective equipment have evolved a lot over the years to ensure Lacrosse is a safe and enjoyable space for everyone and aims at allowing players to develop their skills confidently.
The regular season for Lacrosse runs during winter from (April-September), with games typically held on Saturdays and practices on weeknights. There are also summer season competitions for Indoor (box), Non-Contact, and Sixes Lacrosse.
The East Torrens Payneham “Redwings” Lacrosse Club is a family oriented, volunteer-run club focusing on participation, enjoyment, friendship and development. We have enjoyed tremendous success over our 120+ year history including a clean-sweep where we won every Lacrosse premiership on offer in a single season. We are always seeking and welcoming new players and members and hope you will “play it, live it and love it" like we do.
As a minor sport that is not-for-profit and focusing on participation, costs are low and we can also provide starter kits with everything a new player needs to hit the field for the first time. Participation/membership fees and starter kit costs will vary depending on age and needs but will always be kept to a minimum.
